Dr. Takeo Kanade is one of the leading minds in the field of computer vision. He served as the director of the Robotics Institute from 1992 to 2001. Kanade has been involved with a number of major research projects from the Robotics Institute including Navlab, Ambler, and the development of medical robotics. His work in computer vision has led to collaborations across the university, the country, and the world.
