About the Collection
The Robotics Institute Video Collection contains video recordings from the history of the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, from 1979 to the present. The videos document most projects in the Institute, such as Navlab (Navigation Laboratory), Terregator (Terrestrial Navigator), Dante, and many more. They contain original demos and advertising segments, and they provide a window into the activities of the project teams. Although initially recorded in various videotape formats such as ¾” Umatic and VHS, the collection was digitized and is no longer available in its original form.
