Xavier (Robot)
Xavier was an autonomous indoor mobile robot, developed as part of a project to study navigational algorithms. Xavier could speak, find its way around obstacles, and complete tasks assigned to it by internet users via a website. Alongside its "sister" robot Amelia, Xavier also presented an opportunity to study robotic interactions with humans virtually and in-person, as well as working to improve reliability for future systems.
